But if what you're really wanting is an escape from the frigid temps of winter at home, we really recommend the Gold Coast beaches. We always rent a timeshare (from http://www.redweek.com) at the Surfer Royale in Surfer's Paradise. It's right on a gorgeous beach, and even though we don't surf, this is still a fantastic tropical vacation with all of the trappings!
